Here is an interior picture of a Grandillo back (from Hibdon's). I just closed up the box yesterday. Honduran mahogany inner sides, black walnut linings & laminated (mahogany/Sitka) blocks.

Granadillo bends easily, no problems gluing it, has a strong bell like tap tone, sweet aromatic scent and the pores are very small. I have quietly been stashing this wood for several months and see great promise with it.

Wow, Tim, you build fast. I haven't even gotten my Granadillo, and you're about to close the box.

I am one of the lucky ones and I can't wait. I'm thinking about a SJ with lutz top, curly koa bindings or maybe a dreadnaught with a adi spruce top!!!

Thank You Hibdon

Here's the last one I built in Granadillo

It is beautiful, has some nice mottling and a little chatoyance, and is reasonaby easy to work with. A GREAT value, in my opinion. I will put a lutz, or Carpathian on the next one for a strummer. (Engelman on the aboveTerry Stowell39044.5766319444
